Stealth Clobber

I come bearing gifts! As I was posing Kaiden the other day I noticed how horrible the normal map on his face was, and decided to fix it. Eventually I re-skinned the whole model, and now I'm reskinning a bunch of ME models! First batch includes Femshep, Kaiden, Kelly, Miranda and Samantha. These updated textures include high-res body and face textures, and sometimes new eyes. Installation instructions are in the downloads. All the face textures can be used with the casual models as well, and is recommended! Femshep: Download Femshep! Kaiden and Kelly: Download Kaiden! Download Kelly! Kelly includes new textures for her nude model and also new normal maps for a couple of her casual outfits. Miranda: Download Miranda! I remember seeing on the old forum that someone asked if the nude model of Miranda could have the same moles/freckles on her body that were on her open outfit, so I included that as a skin on here. You can choose between having the moles/freckles, or having clear skin. Samantha: Download Samantha! Jack: Download Jack! Made her tattoos sharper, along with the rest of her clothes, face and hair. Enjoy! Casual Elena Hairstyle Colors & All Around Elena Dark Band Remover Adds different colors for the different hairstyles on Casual Elena, and the ability to completely remove the dark band on her face from any Elena model. Download Here! EDIT: Ermac, being the nicest guy ever, has updated his models to include these colored hairstyles as separate models! So pretty much just take the materials and models folders, and paste both of them in the OblivionGirlsStandalone folder. The download link above is now only for removing the dark band on other Elena models. Download Updated Version! Casual Elena Clothes Reskin Some comparison gifs: Download Here! Human Soria Reskin Nevermind this, vaako has released his own human model! Click here to go to the release post. Nude Jack No Tattoos Download Here! Ashley Williams from Mass Effect Download Here! Enjoy!

Yes, I plan on doing most if not all Mass Effect (human or human like) models. I fixed my purple & black checker problems I was having with EDI and Miranda Nude so I won't having problems texturing EDI.

Wow, very generous of you to make such high quality skins! I'll definitely be trying a few of these out. Thank you very much! :)

This was needed, greatly. Her face has such great detail but the low res tattoos held the model back. By the looks of that screenshot, this work is comparable to JeanLuc's epic texture mods. Many thanks! If I can get ME2 Jack with faceposing, I may request that she get the same treatment from you as this one.

I put the files in the materials folder and over-wrote the conflicts and it still looks like the default tattoos. How about you Rastifan?

I have a request for you. Can you do a re-skin of the nude juliet starling model? Well that might be a little tough, considering I don't use SFM and don't even have it installed to see what the re-skin will look like. But I'll do it anyway.

This thread was created before the forums were split into seperate SFM and GMod sections and has not been moved. In addition, these are skins and textures for existing models and are to my knowledge interchangeable between SFM and GMod. The Juliet model may not have been ported to Gmod, but when someone does port it to Gmod, you will most likely be able to use these skins.

May be true but it has been like that for months and I rather see Gmod stuff posted about in GMod espicially seeing as almost all the mods have left GMod behind and are focus on SFM now. It has it's own section very easy to make a post about it in there.

Well sure, but that doesn't explain why you posted a request for a model port in a thread that's only for skins and textures.

Yeah for guys like cem and skull, all threads are request threads  should be a rule for that: if you want something converted, make a damn request thread.

I'm not making a separate thread for skins in the SFM thread. 1. I don't even use the program. 2. Most SFM models are usable in GMOD as well, and vice versa, so the textures are interchangable. 3. Why would I make a whole thread over there for one lousy re-texture? :P
Tue, 28 May 2013 13:00:04

TooL

Pretty sure you got that backwards. Gmod content typically works well in SFM, not vice versa. Something about collision models. Beside the point. Where then are we supposed to release models that work for both programs? You can't really avoid models being "misplaced".
Tue, 28 May 2013 13:29:42

Rastifan

Yes there is nothing called Gmod textures and SFM textures. They are the same for either models. And people know this thread well.

And I'm back doing skins again? Who woulda thought. I downloaded the Casual Elena model LordAardvark made, and thought oh man, these hairstyles would be cooler if they had different colors too! Well, being proficient in Photoshop, here they are! I also have been wanting to be able to remove the dark band on Elena's face for as long as she has been released, and I found the dark band removing skin on the Casual model to still not be good enough, so I improved upon it. That is in the download as well. A taste of what you can expect: Of course, the dark band remover can be used on the original Elena model as well (no more nude with the dark band on her face! :headbang: ) Instructions on all this are in the download. Enjoy! Now if only somebody could make these hairstyles available on the nude model as well... Download Here! EDIT: Ermac, being the nicest guy ever, has updated his models to include these colored hairstyles as separate models! So pretty much just take the materials and models folders, and paste both of them in the OblivionGirlsStandalone folder. Went a little further on Casual Elena, re-skinned her clothes. Added a weave texture to her shirt, but I mainly did this to fix the crappy normal map on her pants that was making the shine all blocky. Now the shine is uniform so those tight pants look sexier. :frotfrot: Some comparison gifs: Download Here! And btw tool:

What I actually meant to say was that most SFM models are converted to GMOD anyway. Sorry for the confusion.
Fri, 31 May 2013 07:34:53

Used your hair textures and made them onto to models so you don't swap out textures for each hair color http://filesmelt.com/dl/Elena_Hair_Models.rar Also nice pants

[youtube:34p7803k]Wc7kqCtU_vE[/youtube:34p7803k] And awesome, that makes things so much easier! EDIT: Just checked them out in-game, awesome. Pretty much makes my release no longer necessary, I hope you don't mind if I borrow your link :P You should update your thread with a complete version as well. Is it possible for you to convert those hairstyles over onto the regular nude Elena model? Seems like an easy thing to do, but I'm no modeler :????:
Fri, 31 May 2013 07:50:16

Ermac

Its inconvenient to swap out texture files. So i just put the textures on to 4 models, all of them work fine, and yes i could put them on the nude version. I would just need the source files

Christmas in July? Not exactly (for some of you it's almost not even July anymore). But I come bearing a gift yet again! Human Soria! Of course, Soria used to be a human, but this skin reverts her back to human form (almost). She still has the weird tube ears, horns and spiky eyebrows, but god dammit if she isn't human on the inside! :P The pack includes skin textures, eye textures and hair textures (giving her reddish-brown hair instead of purple, but you can keep the purple hair if you desire). I tested them out in SFM only, but they should work a-ok in GMOD (after all they are the same textures). However because of this, the GMOD version will only have her normal hairstyle re-skinned. Enough talking, download links ahead. Download Here!

I might do a mesh version, but in the meantime, you should try to hide her thorns and long ears with alpha masking.

I made a new folder, characters2, for a fresh install of the Soria model to replace the skin with. I changed all the .vmt filepaths to the correct one. I got 2x Soria models in SFM list now, however, the reskin didn't work for the copy, and replacing it in the original folder reskins both of them. What have I missed?

In the qc file it tells where the model will get it textures from. So making a new map and placing the textures in there won't work. You will have to decompile and recompile the model with new paths for the texture map.
Wed, 31 Jul 2013 16:57:52

vaako

Decompiling will probably be a total nightmare based on how complicated the actual QC is. You'd be better off hexing it, or if you have the patience, wait for me to do an actual model version. I never really planned to release it or anything because I felt that the stylized features looks a bit off with human skin, but if there is demand, I will do it.

I would love a hexed version, from either SC or you, preferably both, but if I had to choose I'd go with the original author every time. I do agree about her features looking a bit off for a human skin. However, ever since I saw your human skin promo image from ages ago, her face suddenly reminds me a lot of Christina Ricci. Round face, sharp little chin, big eyes. The uncanny feeling died instantly. SC your skin looks great from the promo shot, and I'll definitely download. It just sucks more to navigate through SFM's directory system to swap files in and out than it is with Gmod's addon format.

Noob question: How do I swap this model from the old Juliet?
Mon, 02 Jun 2014 21:13:39

Awesome work, but on Miranda I noticed serious texture issues transitioning from the body to the head, and the body to the hands and feet. As in the line transition is very noticeable. Could you possibly do textures for the mismatching body parts?
